I am thankful for all the faves and comments on my work. Also, on the job hunting front I have not found anything just yet. I have applied for many jobs just have not heard back. Anyway, besides that stuff
and I just got a new car.

My name is Nathan Frank Jiskra. My nickmane is either Captain Obvious or Watson for my great ability to state facts that are self-evident.
2: How old are you and where are you from? Do you live in the same place you grew up?
I am 30 years old. I live in Mid-Michigan and moved slightly east.
3: Specific movie genre? Favorite movie(s), TV show(s), anime(s), actor(s), actress(es)?
Genre: Action, fantasy, comedy, and sci-Fi
Movies: Final Fintasy VII Advent Children, Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor,

All kinds really. Lots of alternative, metal, and rock though.
Bands/Artists: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Polysics, Little Boots, The Cars, Megadeth, ZZ Top, Satellites & Sirens, Bob Marley, Puffy AmiYumi, and X Japan.
Songs: My fave song of all time is "Under the Bridge" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Other than that most of the songs from my faves bands and artists.
5: Do you play video games? What platform/console, genre, and favorite games?
Been playing video games since the original Nintendo. Big fan of the Playstation 2 and 3 as well as my PC. I enjoy RPGs, racing and fighting the most. Elder Scolls III, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, Tekken, Guilty Gear, BlazeBlue, and Gran Turismo.
6: What are your favorite books? Are you subscribed to any magazines?
My favorite books are the Bible, Neuromancer, Kingdom of Cages, Coldfire Trilogy and The Curse of Chalion. I have a subscribetion to Game Informer and used to have ones for Import Tuner and Super Street.
7: How many languages do you speak/what are they? Are you studying any/more?
English. If you ask my wife, she will say I speck my own language since I have bad habit of not using nouns as well as other issues. I two about a year and half of French and remember little of it. Also, took one semester of Japanese. Remember that a little more, but it was on basic spoken Japanese for the most part.
8: What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Being a perfectionist is really both, but lacking motivation is a big weakness. Also, I try to work on too many projects at once.
9: If you could own a dragon, what color would it be and what element would it have?
I don't think a Dragon is one to own since usually they are as smart or smarter than humans. But if I had one as a friend, maybe one multicolored like certain koi fish. As far as an element I would say water.
10: What super/power would you want to have? What would you do with that power?
This is a tough one for me, but I think I will say having something similar to Spider-Man's Spider-Sense would be cool. Other than that an arsenal like Punisher's along with the know how to use it. I would use the power and firepower to fight crime. I would likely be a little more merciful than Punisher since I would likely be making witty jokes like Spider-Man.

My project list shorten to reflect what I am currently working on.
I am getting into doing vectors more and more. I hope to keep learning new things and pushing myself. The current vector I am working on a Shelby Cobra and the rest of the classic cars for that project. Then later I plan on a DMC DeLorean. Although, a new project from my brother of his truck, a Chevy LUV, will slow down progress on the Cobra and other projects a little bit. Still working on the Chevy LUV. Almost have it done. Just have to make the changes to make it modified.
I have been really bad at keeping with sketching regularly. It is a very on and off thing with me, but if I want to get better I have to make it a more common practice to draw more often. I also want to get into maybe trying some ink washes again. I am thinking a Punisher ink wash fanart would be fun. Been bad about getting to ink washing as well sorry, but still want to get into it. Hopefully, I can get moving forward. I have almost all the things needed to start doing ink washes again, so hopefully I can get to that soon. Just need one more thing before I am ready for the ink washes. I am likely to start laying out the rough outline for them soon.
Story:
My story is moving along slowly still. I am working on Chapter Five. Focus on research again. Just have not done much with this at the moment.
I started reading William Gibson's second novel Count Zero. Still slowly reading the second book in the Wheel of Time series, which is taking a long time to read between everything else I do. Also, the book just has parts that seem to drag forever. Very slow reading at times for me. Still adding books that I want to read at some point including books from C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.
Also, I would like to get back to reading comics again since my setting deals with
people gaining super powers. I have read a few Spider-man and Punisher comics.
I am thinking of reading through my Gen 13 and Catwoman comics. Still have not done.
That is about it for now.

My project list shorten to reflect what I am currently working on.
I am getting into doing vectors more and more. I hope to keep learning new things and pushing myself. The current vector I am working on a Shelby Cobra and the rest of the classic cars for that project. Then later I plan on a DMC DeLorean. Although, a new project from my brother of his truck, a Chevy LUV, will slow down progress on the Cobra and other projects a little bit. Still working on the Chevy LUV. Almost have it done. Just have to make the changes to make it modified.
I have been really bad at keeping with sketching regularly. It is a very on and off thing with me, but if I want to get better I have to make it a more common practice to draw more often. I also want to get into maybe trying some ink washes again. I am thinking a Punisher ink wash fanart would be fun. Been bad about getting to ink washing as well sorry, but still want to get into it. Hopefully, I can get moving forward. I have almost all the things needed to start doing ink washes again, so hopefully I can get to that soon. Hello everyone,
I am still quite active here, but still trying to get better on posting up new artwork. I am thankful for all the faves and comments on my work. Also, on the job hunting front I have not found anything just yet. I have applied for many jobs just have not heard back.
Anyway, besides that stuff and I just got a new cat. It is a small nine month old.
Still not working on artwork as much as I would like to. I have to really get in the habit of setting time aside to work on artwork.
Another thing I am not good at is finishing a project after starting it. I tend to get half way and kinda move on to something else.

Hello everyone,
I am more active here, but I am also trying to be more active on Artician and Facebook. I have been posting more of my artwork into the groups I am part, which in turn has gotten me a lot of faves and such in return. Thanks all for that. Also, taking more time to go through and fave others works. Sorry for not leaving many comments. I used to be better at that, but that was before I was working 48-52ish hours between two jobs. I like working the two jobs on some levels, but others it is very draining and time consuming. Trying to find a single job to replace the two I have.
I am hoping to drive myself to draw more and post more original work and fanart.
Lately I have started drawing quick sketches, which has been fun.
Just have to keep it going.

My story is moving along slowly still. I am working on Chapter Five still.
I hope to work on it sometime soon with my art projects getting more of my attention lately,
which they should since I am an artist first, and writer second.
I started reading William Gibson's second novel Count Zero. Still slowly reading the second book
in the Wheel of Time series, which is taking a long time to read between everything else I do.
Still adding books that I want to read at some point.
Also, I would like to get back to reading comics again since my setting deals with
people gaining super powers. I have read a few Spider-man and Punisher comics.
I am thinking of reading through my Gen 13 and Catwoman comics.
That is about it for now.

15.01.14 Happy New Year and Stuff

Hello everyone,
I am still trying to get more active here. I have been posting more of my artwork into the groups I am part, which in turn has gotten me a lot of faves and such in return. Thanks all for that. Also, taking more time to go through and fave others works. Sorry for not leaving many comments. I used to be better at that, but that was before I was working 48-52ish hours between two jobs. I like working the two jobs on some levels, but others it is very draining and time consuming.
As the title says Happy New Year. I know I am two weeks late, but I guess better late then not at all. I hope all is well with everyone and that the holidays went well, too.
My resolutions for this year are:
Artwork:
Be more productive in creating art for myself and editing more photos.
I am trying to push myself to try new things with my art to sharpen new skills.
Also, gain more freelance jobs as I am starting to go that route with my work.
Update my portfolios, create business image, and get to getting my name out there.
Story:
I hope by end of the year I will be close if not done with a first draft.
I already have ideas and changes I want to make, but I am holding off
until the first draft is done to make them.
Body:
Get in better shape, so I am not so tired when I go disc golfing.
Take more walks in the wilderness.
Life:
Learn to be a better man and husband.
Get better at reading the bible more often.
Also, take more time to read in general.
I would be interested in hearing what your resolutions for this year are as well.

The old drawing of Vincent Valentine is hitting the back burner along with many of my other old projects I had going. I may or may not finish them. Many of my projects I had going I just lost energy for so in the meantime I have been working on new projects. Besides my new projects I am working on I feel are more important at the moment and can push me artistically.
I am getting into doing vectors more and more. I hope to keep learning new things and pushing myself. The current vector I am working on a Shelby Cobra and the rest of the classic cars for that project. Then later I plan on a DMC DeLorean. Although, a new project from my brother of his truck will slow down progress on the Cobra and other projects a little bit.
I hope to get around to sketching regularly. I have been really bad at keeping with this, but it is so critical to practice drawing more and keep my skills sharp. I also want to get into maybe trying some ink washes again. I am thinking a Punisher ink wash fanart would be fun. Still have not even got my figures wet with ink, yet. I hope to change that next week. It looks like I will try to get some supplies likely tomorrow.

Hello everyone,
I am trying to get more active here. I will be posting more of my artwork into the groups I am part of and maybe even think about joining a few more groups soon to better share my artwork.
As the title says I am chilling at the office today. It is like 45 degrees in the building today which I think is like only four or five degrees warmer than outside. It is getting to be like winter here in Michigan, which I enjoy. The thing I don't like is being cold when I am trying to work when there should be heat. My boss is trying to save money. Enough about that.
I am still quite stressed from time to time. Not knowing when you will get paid tends to do that to you. I can usually mange it well, but lately it has effecting my life. Mainly I am worried of not getting enough sleep and being a crap around my wife, but I guess that is life.
I updated my portfolio with some work from my graphic design job a few months back.
It is still going well, but this is where most of my stress is coming from.
I still want to add more recent work to it and maybe remove some more of the older works.
was nice and cleaned my office last week before my older brother finally came over to check out my apartment
that I have been living in for a little more than a year now. It was great to see him. He even surprised me with a ZZ Top t-shirt. I can not wait to wear it. Thanks for checking out my journal if any one even reads this.
